About Dinnes
Dinnes often heads out on his motorbike to capture images that resonate with his Highland heritage. He paints where he’s been, what he’s seen, and occasionally what he dreams — his art represents fragments of his lifes journey.
Compositions depicting wildlife, flora, landscape, and portraiture are produced in watercolour and acrylic. Particular works with narrative feature meeting of characters across differing timelines. One example,‘Talk Like an Egyptian,’ received the Winner’s Award at the 2019 Shell-sponsored Fife Arts Exhibition. His technique blends traditional with contemporary, capturing fleeting moments in time and history, as well as flight and fancy. Dinnes invites you into the layers of the traveller’s palette. ‘We can all create – its good for the soul. I sincerely hope you enjoy my work’.
